KnitWit and her sidekick/daughter PurlGirl have teamed up to enlighten the masses about the wonders of knitting and all fiber arts.  The days of the boring “granny knits” are over, be prepared for elegant, funky, and just plain beautiful pieces of art!

We’ll be featuring knitting news, our own work, patterns, and interviews with up and coming stars of the knitterverse.

Knit Wit’s 411:

I’m married, and mum to one faboo daughter, aka Purl Girl, and one son in law, aka He Who Knits Knot.  I also have three neurotic cats whose mission in life is to wake me at unholy hours – when they’re not burrowing into my stash for a nap.  I’ve been kntting for 39 years, crocheting for 36.  I also tat and spin – both drop spindles and wheels.  I love to teach fiber arts and love to learn new techniques – bobbin lace is still on my “to learn” list.  I have MPD – Multiple Project Disorder as I almost always have 5 projects going at once – and I’m not looking all that hard for a cure.

About Purl Girl:

Purl Girl learned the wonderful arts of knitting and crocheting from her mother, KnitWit, and after a period of teenage “knitting is lame” rebellion, she has recognized the error of here ways and now loves finding awesome patterns to knit.  She occasionally sells her knits through commissions and her Etsy Shop, and is part of a knitting group that meets on Saturdays.  Her Ravelry id is KnavyKnitter and she would love to hijack your favorites be your friend.  <3
